Honoring Those Who Serve: Frontier’s Commitment to Military Hiring

As we celebrate Independence Day, it is important to recognize the tremendous work done by the men and women who serve in our armed forces and protect the freedoms we celebrate. America’s military embodies so much of what makes our country great, and Frontier is incredibly proud to count many of our nation’s heroes as part of our team. In fact, 11 percent of Frontier’s total, entirely U.S.-based, workforce is comprised of military personnel, veterans and reservists.

As a committed employer of military personnel and veterans, it was an honor to be recognized by CivilianJobs.com as a Most Valuable Employer (MVE) for Military this past May. The award, which was open to all U.S. companies, was given to Frontier due to the quality of our efforts to recruit, train and retain military service members and veterans. This recognition helps military-experienced job seekers and veterans identify top employers to target for civilian careers.

The MVE award is only the latest in a long line of recognitions for Frontier’s outreach to members of our armed forces. Last Memorial Day, we were named one of America’s Top 100 Military Employers by Victory Media. We were selected, out of more than 5,000 companies, as one of America’s best employers when it comes to recruiting members of the armed forces and offering them meaningful job opportunities. That same November, we were also honored to be inducted into the Department of Defense’s Military Spouse Employment Partnership as part of a government effort to connect spouses of military members to potential employers. Additionally, we’re active participants in the 100,000 jobs mission, which tasks us with hiring 100,000 veterans by the year 2020.

The same values our military personnel and veterans display every day in uniform go a long way toward making them such valuable members of the Frontier team. Leadership, teamwork, accountability and discipline are critical values at Frontier and are present in all of our hires, especially those with a military connection.

All of us here at Frontier offer our most sincere thanks to those who have served and continue to serve our country. We owe the freedoms we celebrate on Independence Day to their incredible dedication and sacrifice.
