Honoring our Military Heroes this Memorial Day

Every year on the last Monday of May, our country pauses to take a moment to honor and remember the men and women who have died while serving our country in the military.

Honoring our country’s servicemen and women is a yearlong commitment for Frontier, where 12 percent of our workforce is comprised of veterans and active reservists. Part of that commitment includes support for our partner, Honor and Remember. Honor and Remember is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to create and promote a nationally recognized flag that serves as a visual reminder to all Americans of the lives lost in defense of our country.

Most recently, we had the privilege of presenting a personalized Honor and Remember flag to the family of U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Bryan E. Hall in Elk Grove, California. SFC Hall was killed in combat on April 10, 2009, when a suicide bomber detonated a truck loaded with explosives at the Forward Operating Base Marez in Mosul, Iraq, during his first deployment. He was 32 years old.

Recognizing our military heroes and their families year-round is a priority for all of us at Frontier. We were honored to be identified as a 2015 Most Valuable Employer for the Military by CivilianJobs.com. Being named a Most Valuable Employer helps military-experienced job seekers and veterans identify top employers to target for civilian careers. As members and supporters of numerous organizations dedicated to increasing career opportunities for those who serve, we are grateful for this recognition.

At Frontier, we believe the discipline, dedication and accountability that it takes to serve our country are some of the very skills that make successful members of our team. Our military members have been and continue to be there for us, and we are proud to be here for them now.

On behalf of the entire Frontier team, thank you to our heroes — today, we honor and remember you.
