Netflix, Hulu or Amazon – Which is the Best Streaming Service for You?

Are you one of the more than 35 million Americans who subscribe to an online video streaming service such as Netflix, Hulu Plus or Amazon Instant Video? Do you have a favorite streaming service out of the three, or are you wondering which service would be the best fit for you and your family? We’re here to help. We’ve broken down each of these streaming services to help you find which service is best for you!

Netflix:

Netflix currently costs $7.99 per month, though that price is expected to raise $1-$2 for new subscribers. When it comes to available content for streaming, many would argue that Netflix is king. In addition to having exclusive rights for its critically acclaimed original programming, such as “House of Cards” and “Orange is the New Black,” Netflix carries a large library of full seasons of popular programming, including “Breaking Bad,” “Mad Men” and “Arrested Development.”

Hulu Plus:

Hulu Plus costs $7.99 per month, with its strongest selling point being its collection of current-running TV shows. Many of your favorite shows that are currently on air are available to stream instantly, including “Modern Family,” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “The Mindy Project.” Hulu’s free service has the advantage on the mobile front, with the service’s recent announcement that it will offer a selection of TV shows on mobile devices that users can view for free.  Formerly, free programs could only be viewed on the desktop.

Amazon Instant Video:

For optimal access to Amazon Instant Video content, an Amazon Prime membership is required, which costs $99 per year. However, in addition to access to Amazon Instant Video’s streaming library, Amazon Prime members also enjoy free two-day shipping on many items across Amazon. While Amazon’s streaming library does not yet have as many titles as Netflix, the service has been quickly growing over the past two years. Additionally, Amazon Instant Video recently announced a partnership with HBO to bring full seasons of popular HBO programs, such as “The Sopranos” and “The Wire,” to subscribers.

Each streaming service has different features and benefits. No matter which service you choose, a myriad of your favorite shows and movies are available for you to watch and enjoy anytime you want with a Frontier Communications connection.
